The End is Near...

Another gorgeous day with highs close to 80 inland and 70 at the coast...this is Spring at its best!  But It's been nearly two weeks since measurable rain and for better or worse that streak is going to end tomorrow.

An area of low pressure is drifting toward the Northeast with waves of showers.  The first wave will arrive on the South Coast tomorrow morning and will spiral north...several more will follow as we head into the afternoon with the steadiest band passing through tomorrow evening along a warmfront.  That warmfront will swing through tomorrow night pushing warm/moist air into the region.  That coupled with and upper level low pressure area will trigger lingering scattered showers and thunderstorms on Thursday.  The storm will lift out on Friday only to be replaced with more unsettled weather over Mother's Day weekend.  Steady rain will be possible Saturday afternoon through the night with lingering scattered showers on Mother's Day itself.
