88-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Hit By MBTA Bus
MELROSE (CBS) – An 88-year-old man who was hit by an MBTA bus in Melrose has died.
Minor McLain of Melrose was struck by the bus on Franklin Street near the intersection of Pratt Street at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.
MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo says, "In accordance with the MBTA's standard operating procedures, the bus driver will be kept out of service while investigators establish the facts in this accident."
The Middlesex District Attorney's office is handling the investigation.
