Taunton 18-Year-Old Stabbed To Death In Brockton

BROCKTON (CBS) — An 18-year-old Taunton man was stabbed to death in Brockton early Saturday morning, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Brockton Police.

At about 3:50 a.m. Saturday, Brockton Police were dispatched to 517 Summer St. to investigate a possible home invasion and stabbing. When officers arrived, they found two male stabbing victims, who were treated at the scene then taken to the hospital, according to a prepared statement from the DA’s Office.

Jonathan Semedo, 18, of Taunton, was pronounced dead a short time later at Brockton Hospital. He had suffered stab wounds to his front, side and back torso, as well as his arms and hands, the DA’s office said, adding an autopsy will be conducted.

The other stabbing victim suffered a minor stab wound to the neck. He was treated at the hospital and released.

State police detectives assigned to the DA’s office and the Brockton Police are investigating the case. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators at 508-941-0234.
