Dive Teams Search Worcester Pond For Missing Boy
WORCESTER (CBS) - Dive teams searched Bell Pond in Worcester after a swimmer was reported missing Friday evening.
Worcester firefighters were told that four kids went into the water but only three came out. The boy who is missing is believed to be 10-years-old.
"Four youths went out to try and swim across the pond, three came back one did not," said Dep. Chief Geoffrey Gardell of the Worcester Fire Department. "It's a tough situation this pond has a lot of weeds."
The search was called off at about 8:00pm Friday night, but divers will be back in the water Saturday morning.
