Smells Like Freedom & Awesome: Yankee Candle Unveils 'Boston Strong'

BOSTON (CBS) - A popular Massachusetts-based candle-maker is stepping up to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Yankee Candle announced on Thursday that it's introducing the Boston Strong Candle.

While some commenters on Yankee Candle's Facebook page described the candle as smelling like "freedom" and "awesome," the company describes it as a heartwarming blend of cinnamon, baking spices, and a hint of freshly poured tea.

It features an image of the Boston skyline in front the American flag.

The candle can be pre-ordered starting on Thursday and will be available to ship in 3 weeks.

It retails at $27.99. All net proceeds from the sale of Boston Strong will be donated to The One Fund Boston.
