Kraft Family Raises $617,000 For The One Fund Boston

FOXBORO (CBS) – The Kraft family announced Thursday night that they have raised $617,000 for The One Fund Boston.

Last Tuesday, the day after the Boston Marathon bombings, the Kraft family pledged to match the first $100,000 donated to the victims through their charitable foundation. The Krafts say fans exceeded that total in less than three days.

Additional donations from the National Football League Foundation, Major League Soccer, the Major League Soccer Players Union, tenants of Patriot Place, and donations from Kraft family friends Roger Stone and Ron Perelman brought the total up to $617,000.

"I am so proud to see how this region has responded to last week's tragedies in Boston," said Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft. "We have witnessed heroism in its purest form and have seen an outpouring of community support."

The Patriots and Revolution Charitable foundations will continue to collect donations online. Donations can be made at Patriots.com/donate or RevolutionSoccer.net/donate (note "Boston Marathon" in the field provided).

As of Thursday night, The One Fund Boston has raised over $24 million for victims affected by the bombings.
