Thieves Steal Expensive Equipment From Savin Hill Little League

BOSTON (CBS) – A Little League in Dorchester is raising money after thousands of dollars worth of equipment was stolen last weekend.

The thieves broke into the Savin Hill Little League trailer at McConnell Park and stole helmets, bats, bases and balls.

The league is run by volunteers and all the equipment and uniforms are donated.

League president Tony King says the season will go on.

“We’re not looking to get anybody in trouble. We’d like the stuff back. If not, they can use it more than we can. We’re going to be OK,” he told WBZ-TV Thursday.
