BOSTON (CBS) – The New England Patriots announced the signing of defensive lineman Tommy Kelly on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old Kelly is a nine-year NFL veteran, spending his entire career with the Oakland Raiders after signing as a rookie free agent out of Mississippi State in 2004.
The 6-foot-6, 325-pounder has played in 129 NFL games with 117 starts, recording 419 total tackles, 34 sacks, nine forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in his career.
Last season in Oakland, Kelly started in all 16 games for the fifth straight season and finished with 45 total tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but ESPNBoston.com is reporting it’s a two-year, $ 1 million deal that could be worth up to $5 million.
