'Clark Rockefeller' Murder Case Goes To Jury

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The murder case against a notorious Rockefeller impostor has been turned over to a Los Angeles jury after the prosecutor implored the panel to find the defendant guilty.

The prosecutor told the jury Tuesday that Christian Gerhartsreiter had gotten away with murder for many years and it's time to hold him accountable.

The prosecution's rebuttal argument ridiculed the defense theory that victim John Sohus was killed by his own wife, who has never been found since the couple vanished in 1985.

Before the case was submitted for deliberations there was a last-minute dismissal of a juror, and an alternate was put on the panel.

Gerhartsreiter has previously been convicted of kidnapping his own daughter on the East Coast, where he masqueraded as a member of the Rockefeller family.
