No Bail For Teen Charged With Raping, Kidnapping Framingham Girl

FRAMINGHAM (CBS) - A 19-year-old man accused of kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl in Framingham was ordered held without bail Tuesday.

Nathan Williams entered Framingham District Court for his arraignment barefoot with his t-shirt over his head to face the charges.

He pleaded not guilty and was ordered to return to court later this week for a dangerousness hearing.

Williams' lawyer says it is a case of mistaken identity.

Prosecutors say Williams has a criminal past, including a prior sexual assault charge when he was a juvenile and a pending assault and battery case in Framingham District Court.

Williams was arrested Monday after investigators used victim and witness statements as well as DNA evidence. Police said witnesses in the neighborhood also helped lead them to Williams.

Police say he attacked the girl at knife point as she walked home from school last week.

Last Wednesday, Framingham and State Police spent hours searching the woods near Gorman Road.

K9 units and a helicopter were brought in and detectives went door-to-door in the neighborhood, but the attacker was not found.
