Ex-Wife Of 'Clark Rockefeller' Testifies In California Murder Trial

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The woman who married a notorious Rockefeller impostor and bore his child has told jurors a startling story of her 12-year-marriage to a man whose identity was a lie.

Sandy Boss said Tuesday she was charmed by the bright, quirky man who called himself Clark Rockefeller. She said she believed everything he told her and abided by the strict rules of secrecy he demanded.

He refused to visit California, which he said he hated, and said he would never set foot in Connecticut again. Unknown to her, he was under investigation in both places in connection with a missing persons case.

Boss, who lives in London with their daughter, was called as a prosecution witness in the murder trial of her ex-husband whose true name is Christian Gerhartsreiter. She knew him as Clark Rockefeller.
