Possible Pipe Bomb Forces Manchester, NH Neighborhood To Evacuate

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire State police have dismantled a device that looked like pipe bomb and caused them to evacuate part of a Manchester neighborhood. The streets have re-opened.

Police created a 100-yard "safe zone" around the object when they were called to the area shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday on Maryland Avenue.

Streets in the immediate area were closed until a little after 9 a.m.

Police did not say what the device was and are analyzing it further.
