BOSTON (CBS) — The Patriots made some major moves already in free agency, but they’re far from finished with building their roster.
And according to a report from CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, the Patriots are eying free-agent defensive lineman Vaughn Martin.
Martin, 26, has spent the first four years of his career with the San Diego Chargers. In 2011, he played all 16 games and recorded 47 total tackles. Last year, the 6-foot-4, 297-pound defensive tackle made 12 solo tackles and assisted on nine more, and he’s also recorded one sack in each of his last three seasons.
According to La Canfora, the Chargers hope to retain Martin, but the Patriots are among at least four teams interested.
