Pollard Says He's Signing With Titans

BOSTON (CBS) - Patriots fans hoping to see safety Bernard Pollard bring his hard-hitting ways to New England next season won't get their wish.

But at least the Pats won't have to go against the noted "Patriots Killer" -- at least during the regular season.

The former Raven told ESPN on Thursday he has agreed to a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans. Last season, his second in Baltimore, Pollard racked up 71 tackles and an interception despite playing most of the year with six broken ribs.

He's also the man responsible for Stevan Ridley's fumble in the AFC Championship game -- one of the many hits he's delivered over the years that have hurt the Patriots in one way or another.

But luckily for the Patriots sake, Pollard and the Titans aren't on their 2013 schedule.

New England entered the off-season in need of some help in their secondary, but added safety Adrian Wilson via free agency and brought back corners Aqib Talib and Kyle Arrington.
