BOSTON (CBS) – The New England Patriots aren’t expected to to pick up the $3 million roster bonus due to Brandon Lloyd this weekend, but that doesn’t mean he will be done in New England after just one year.

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the Patriots and Lloyd have begun talking about a restructured deal.

Lloyd — who had 74 receptions for 911 yards and four touchdowns in 2012 — was scheduled to earn a base salary of $1.9 million and have a salary cap charge of $4.9 million for 2013.

Lloyd made it clear last off-season he wanted to land in New England, and now it looks like the Patriots will leave it up to him to continue his future with the team: restructure and take a pay cut, or ship out of town.

The Patriots have signed two receivers this off-season since losing Wes Welker to the Denver Broncos, inking Danny Amendola to a five-year deal and ex-Buffalo receiver Donald Jones on Friday.
