EXETER, NH (CBS) – An Epping, New Hampshire man is accused of murdering the mother of his child, and leaving her in a burning building.
Aaron Desjardins was arraigned on a murder charge in Seabrook, Wednesday.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Bernice Corpuz reports
Last week, investigators found the body of his ex-wife, Amy Warf, in an abandoned cement plant in Exeter, where someone had set a fire.
Assistant Attorney General Susan Morrell says DesJardins may later face an arson charge in addition to murder. She says the 36-year-old victim died from “incised wounds” to her carotid artery. Morrell would not say what weapon the killer used to cut Warf’s neck.
Desjardins’ first court appearance happened on the very same day loved ones said goodbye to Warf. Relatives carried the couple’s 11-month-old son in to her funeral.
Desjardins is being held without bail.
