BOURNE (CBS) – A bus carrying 40 middle school kids caught on fire in Bourne on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened just before 3pm, when the driver says she heard something strange and pulled over on the Scenic Highway. That’s when the engine went up in flames.

All the kids and the driver made it off safely and were taken home on a different bus.

It’s not clear what caused the fire.
