BOSTON (CBS) – State Police and federal agents seized 10 kilograms of cocaine at Logan Airport on Wednesday.
Authorities say they, “disrupted a narcotics smuggling pipeline from Puerto Rico to New England.” Another 12 kilograms were seized in Puerto Rico. The estimated street value of the drugs is more than $1 million.
Troopers and agents from the DEA and Homeland Security arrested two passengers who flew to Logan on JetBlue from San Juan.
The suspects, 20-year-old Naxel O. Miranda-Diaz and 28-year-old Edwin Rosario, were charged with trafficking and held on $250,000 cash bail. Both men are from Puerto Rico.
