Man Hit By Cab Outside Boylston Street Bar

BOSTON (CBS) - A man was rushed to the hospital after he was hit by a cab on Boylston Street early Wednesday morning.

It happened in front of Whiskey's near the Hynes Convention Center around 2 a.m.

Immediately before the accident Boston police were responding to a fight at the bar.

Police say the fight spilled out into the street. A man punched the victim who then fell into the street and was struck by the taxi.

The man who punched the victim took off, police said. He is described as white, between 30 to 32 years old, 5'10" and wearing a dark hooded jacket with fur around the trim.

A witness told WBZ-TV the victim was given CPR at the scene before being rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital.

Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.  His name has not been released.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
