The Celtics are coming off of three days rest and heading to Philadelphia to battle the 76ers on Tuesday night.
Celtics play-by-play announcer Mike Gorman spoke with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Rich about the recent win over the Warriors, the battle between Stephen Curry and Avery Bradley and Kevin Garnett’s playing time.
Stephen Curry had 25 points for Golden State when they visited the Garden back on March 1st, despite knocking down only 6-for-22. What did Gorman think of the job Avery Bradley and Courtney Lee did guarding the shooter?
“Avery has just quietly emerged as probably, along with Tony Allen – it would be amazing what the Celtics would be like if they still had Tony Allen, is probably the best on ball defender of ones, twos and threes in the league.”
They also discussed Avery getting in foul trouble and how the C’s handled defense moving forward in the game.
The guys also talked about Kevin Garnett’s playing time and the fact that the veteran is backing off his stance on rest. Are Doc Rivers and KG going to bump heads in the coming weeks?
Plus is there any team that can beat the Miami Heat in a seven game series?
