NH Police On Alert After Attempted Abduction Reported In Bristol

BRISTOL, NH (CBS) - Police are looking for a man wanted for an attempted abduction outside the town library Wednesday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., police say a man between 30 and 40 years old wearing dress pants, approached a young woman walking on Pleasant Street and got out of his silver sports utility vehicle.

The New Hampshire Union Leader reports the victim was 19 years old.

Police say the man grabbed her and tried to get her into his vehicle. She was able to get away from the man and he took off in his car on Route 104 east toward New Hampton.

Anyone who has seen a silver SUV, possibly a Pontiac G6, with Virginia license plates is asked to call Bristol Police.
