Hull Police was swamped with calls about the pup. On Tuesday, New England Aquarium moved the seal pup to another, more private, location.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Laurie Kirby reports
The aquarium’s Tony LaCasse says the seal is in good health.
“The animal is considered to have a good weight and is active and alert,” LaCasse said. “Overall, it should be good.”
The New England Aquarium has started a campaign titled, “Seals Belong On The Beach” in an effort to prevent the public from handling the seals.
LaCasse says if you see a seal on the beach, don’t feed, cover or touch the seal and never drag it back to the water.
