FITCHBURG (CBS) – Northern Worcester County was one of the places for jackpot accumulation from this storm, with over 5 inches of new snow.

That was bad for drivers, good for skiiers.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Doug Cope reports

Wachusett Mountain owner Jeff Crowley is not complaining, he says it has been a good year.

“Last year was so terrible, we’re delighted to put that in the books,” Crowley said.

The snow was also welcomed by this snowboarder from Tiverton, Rhode Island.

“I love it, it’s nice especially with this fresh powder,” the skier said.

It was a great week for skiers before the end of school vacation week in Massachusetts.
