BRIGHTON (CBS) – Boston authorities were called to the scene of a rock slide in Brighton on Sunday evening.
Just after 5 p.m., authorities responded to a scene at the end of a dead end street, where a 40-foot cliff had partially collapsed into the roadway.
“When [residents] came outside, they noticed a large section of this rock retaining wall let go and came crashing down,” said Brian Tully, a Captain with the Boston Fire Department. “The good thing is, nobody was hurt and we have the building department coming out to investigate further.”
The collapse mostly consisted of large rocks, and slid in close proximity to a single family home at 6 Olive St.
Fortunately, there was no damage and there were no injuries or evacuations.
