OSTERVILLE (CBS) – Police say they have arrested the man responsible for a rash of copper thefts on Cape Cod.

Investigators say 35-year-old Peter Strazzullo of Sandwich admitted to stealing copper downspouts from homes around Osterville over the last two months, and then selling them to a scrap dealer.

Officers say they found a pile of stolen copper in Strazzullo’s truck.

At least 16 homes were hit since the start of the year.
