BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is continuing his out-of-state trip by heading to Washington for a meeting of the National Governors Association.
Patrick is coming off a few days of vacation with his wife in Florida.
The vacation followed a trade mission Patrick made last weekend to Colombia where he signed a memorandum of understanding with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos intended to strengthen the collaboration between Massachusetts and the South American nation.
On Sunday Patrick is scheduled to be a guest on NBC’s Meet the Press.
Sunday evening Patrick joins other governors for a dinner hosted by President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
Patrick is scheduled to return to Massachusetts on Monday afternoon in time for a legislative leadership meeting.
