PROVIDENCE, R.I. (CBS) – He’s the darling of the dog show circuit and Monday, Banana Joe made an appearance after returning home from the Westminster Kennel Club’s dog show in New York.

The 5-year-old affenpinscher with a monkey face won best in show last week.

The affenpinscher is originally from Attleboro, Mass. but will be retiring to the Netherlands.

His owner Tina Truesdale of Swansea, said despite his flamboyance in the show, he is very calm at home.

“He represents his breed very well,” she told WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Kim Tunnicliffe. “They are funny little dogs. They love their people.”
