Gas Prices Up 31 Cents In Month In Mass.

BOSTON (CBS) – Gas prices are now up 31 cents in the last month in Massachusetts.

That's according to the latest survey from AAA Southern New England.

The average price for a gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded is currently $3.72 in Massachusetts, up four cents from last week.

However, it's now below the national average by just one cent.

"We are typically above the national average in Massachusetts," AAA spokeswoman Mary Maguire told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Monday.

The range in prices in the new AAA survey is 28 cents, from a low of $3.59 to a high of $3.87.

"That means you have plenty of ability to shop around," Maguire said.
