Wednesday's Child: 14-Year-Old Nizia

BOSTON (CBS) - Nizia is a bright and friendly African-American boy who always has a smile for everyone he meets. This fun-loving, outgoing young teen who recently turned 14 has a great personality. Nizia has a lot to offer and would greatly enrich the lives of a new family. Although he has been waiting for a long time, Nizia has never given up hope of finding a family of his own.

As an eighth grader, Nizia receives extra academic support in certain subjects, as well as behavioral supports. He enjoys the social aspects of school, and he has a talent for making both students and teachers laugh. In his spare time, Nizia enjoys skateboarding, wrestling, dancing and playing video games. Additionally, Nizia has a budding passion for the creative arts. He especially loves trying his hand in the kitchen, and he calls himself "Master Chef."

Legally free for adoption, Nizia is open to all family constellations. He would flourish in a home that offers him unconditional love, support, and a sense of belonging. Nizia would do best in a family in which he is the only or youngest child and that supports his contact with his older sister.

To learn more about Nizia, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
