BOSTON (CBS) — Jay Pandolfo has been with the Bruins since training camp on a tryout agreement. On Tuesday, he’s finally getting a contract.
The 38-year-old veteran forward signed a one-year deal with the Bruins. The deal is for a pro-rated value of $600,000 at the NHL level and $350,000 in the AHL.
TSN’s Bob McKenzie first reported the signing via Twitter.
Pandolfo traveled with the team to Buffalo over the weekend, his first road trip of the season.
In his 14 NHL seasons (13 with New Jersey), Pandolfo has scored 100 goals and tallied 126 assists. He had just one goal and two assists to go with a minus-14 rating in 62 games last year for the Islanders.
Pandolfo is a native of Burlington, Mass., and he played four seasons at Boston University, where he posted 67 points (38 goals, 29 assists) in his senior season in 1995-96.
