BOSTON (CBS) – With the blizzard of 2013 bearing down on Boston, at least one local couple found reason to celebrate.
Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Oguadimma tied the knot inside City Hall just in time to get their car out of downtown before the parking ban went into effect.
“This is one for the books. I just got married in a blizzard,” said the bride, Ashley, who shares the same first name as the groom.
“What better way to celebrate a New England wedding than in a blizzard?” noted the groom.
The couple says they plan to hunker down at home and celebrate on Sunday.
“We’re going to go home and be safe,” the bride said. “(We’re) going to go home right now and then we’ll go celebrate on Sunday.”
