DENNIS (CBS) – Police found more than they bargained for while searching a Dennisport apartment early Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 6 a.m., police were executing a search warrant at the Harborside Arms Apartments as part of a drug investigation when they found a live, military-style M-67 hand grenade on a bureau inside one of the bedrooms.
The State Police Bomb Squad was called in and nearby apartments were evacuated.
The grenade was removed.
Authorities said the it was full of “hundreds of small BB’s and paper wading but no apparent explosive material.”
The one person in the apartment, Kathleen Caussey, 58, was arrested on drug charges.
She will be arraigned in Orleans District Court Wednesday afternoon.
