BROCKTON (CBS) – Officials at Brockton High School are defending their handling of a lockdown situation Thursday morning after a student thought they saw someone with a gun.
The search turned up nothing. But during the search, students were told it was only a drill.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Mark Katic reports
The school says students were told the incident was a drill in order to avoid panic.
The school waited until after the incident to contact parents.
Officials defended their actions, saying they kept students safe and allowed police to do their job.
