Babson College Students Hurt In Wellesley Collision

WELLESLEY (CBS) - Several people were hurt in a violent, head-on crash near Babson College early Friday morning.

A Mercedes and a Honda Civic collided just before 3 a.m. on Wellesley Avenue near the Babson campus.

There were seven Babson College students riding in the Mercedes and one student was in the Honda.

It appears that all eight people involved in the crash were injured.

Babson College says one of its students who was sitting in the backseat of the Mercedes was taken away from the scene in a MedFlight rescue helicopter.

Another student was admitted to the hospital. The other six people were treated and released.

There's no word yet on a cause of the crash, but investigators said the Mercedes crossed the double yellow line and then struck the Honda head-on.

Police told WBZ at this point they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
