Middleboro Man Arrested After Shooting, Killing His Own Dog

MIDDLEBORO (CBS) - A 55-year-old man has been released from custody after allegedly shooting and killing his own dog.

Police say Gordon Lagstrom was drunk Saturday night, when he pulled a .38 caliber handgun, and shot to death his 4-year-old Australian terrier, Lena.

Police say Lagstrom had a license for the gun, but his permit has now been revoked.

In his Pierce Street neighborhood, some of his neighbors don't think much of Lagstrom.

"He's not a very nice person," said one elderly lady.

Her husband added, "he's obnoxious and shouldn't own a gun."

Lagstrom was in court Monday morning, answering to the charges but said little leaving.
