Littleton Chief Apologizes Over Personal Info Posted In Police Log

LITTLETON (CBS) - Littleton police are apologizing for accidentally posting personal information on the department's website.

The information was posted January 14 as part of the police log. The error wasn't realized for ten days.

It included a combination of names, addresses, birth dates, and social security numbers.

The department says 104 people were affected.

"At this time I am not sure if it was entirely human error or that coupled with technology issues," Police Chief John Kelly said in a statement on the department's website.

Chief Kelly apologized and said the department has already reached out to those affected.

Kelly says they will do everything they can to assist those affected.
