Dangerous Cold

It's so cold that...? You can fill-in the blank! Today's highs in the middle teens will be the coldest air we have felt in two years. Average highs are in the middle 30s. Thankfully, the sun will be shining.

The bitter cold temperatures will have a grip on New England through tomorrow. High temps will only reach the middle and upper teens. Wind chills will still be subzero due to breezy conditions.

Friday will be the return of the 20s along with more sunshine. Models are showing more promise that a coastal storm will stay offshore and just skim Southern New England on Firday night and Saturday morning. The best chance for light accumulations will be across southeastern Massachusetts. We will continue to monitor the latest model runs.

This weekend will include a gradual increase in terms of high temps, but that being said, temps will still be considered 'below' normal. Saturday will be cloudy with a few snowflakes early followed by clearing conditions during the day. Highs will be in the middle 20s. It will be sunny with temps near the freezing mark on Sunday.

***Full 'Wolf' Moon will be at 11:40pm this Saturday.

Stay warm! Please check on your elderly neighbors, friends, and loved ones. Also, remember to provide shelter for you pets.

~Melissa :)
