PITTSBURG, N.H. (AP) — Three snowmobile riders have been injured in two crashes in New Hampshire’s northernmost town.
Conservation officers say two snowmobiles operated by members of a large group riding together collided in the town of Pittsburg on Friday afternoon.
Fifty-six-year-old Candia resident David L. Batzdorf was seriously hurt and airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Thirty-four-year-old Nashua resident William Lincoln was also injured in the crash and was airlifted to Central Maine Medical Center, where he was in stable condition.
Authorities say solar glare and snow dust contributed to that collision.
On Friday night, officers say, 48-year-old Epsom resident Tracy Freeman missed a sharp curve on a trail and hit some trees. She suffered facial injuries and was treated at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital.
Authorities say alcohol wasn’t involved in either crash.
