United Flight From Spain Diverted To Boston Over Cabin Pressure Problems

BOSTON (AP) — A United Airlines jetliner flying from Barcelona, Spain, to Newark, N.J., has been diverted to Boston after developing problems with cabin pressure.

United spokeswoman Jennifer Dohm says the Boeing 757 landed safely and without incident Friday afternoon. She says there were 113 passengers and seven crew members aboard United Flight 121.

The airline said has arranged an alternate aircraft to fly the passengers from Boston to Newark and will accommodate them to their final destinations.

Pilots facing cabin pressure problems typically descend to safer altitude and can continue flying to a safer destination.
