Woodhead Participates Fully In Patriots Practice; Gronkowski Placed On IR

BOSTON (CBS) -- The season is officially over for Rob Gronkowski.

The star tight end broke his forearm Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium in the first quarter against Houston, and after undergoing surgery on Monday, he was officially placed on injured reserve on Thursday.

The Patriots did have good news on another injured player, though, as Danny Woodhead increased his practice load, going from a limited participant on Wednesday to a full participant on Thursday.

Woodhead injured his thumb on the first offensive play of Sunday's game and did not return, though he was on the sidelines standing with the offensive substitutions.

Marquice Cole (finger), Trevor Scott (knee) and Nick McDonald (shoulder) also went from limited participation on Wednesday to full participation on Thursday.

Chandler Jones, however, remained a limited participant in practice with his ankle injury.

For the Ravens, running back Bernard Pierce did not practice due to a knee injury. Fullback Vonta Leach was limited with a knee/ankle injury.
