U.S. Supreme Court Won't Hear Entwistle Appeal

BOSTON (AP) — The U.S. Supreme Court has denied a request to hear an appeal from a British man who was convicted of killing his wife and infant daughter in Hopkinton.

The high court on Monday rejected Neil Entwistle's request to review his case.

Entwistle was convicted in the 2006 fatal shootings of his wife, Rachel, and their 9-month-old daughter, Lillian.

Prosecutors argued at trial that Entwistle killed his wife and daughter because he was upset about his failure to find a job and growing debt.

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court refused to overturn his convictions in August.

The Entwistles met as students at the University of York in England in 1999. Months after their daughter's birth, the couple moved to Massachusetts to be near Rachel's family.
