The flu outbreak continues to spread like wildfire with more than 700 reported cases here in Boston. On Wednesday January 9th, Boston Mayor Tom Menino declared a public health emergency and this weekend, community health clinics are offering free flu shots. On this edition of Centro, we’ll tell you how you can stay healthy this flu season and what you can do if you are feeling flu like symptoms. WBZ’s Yadires Nova-Salcedo talks with MDPH Community Health Education Manager, Omar Cabrera. Tune In!
