A Little Melting...

What a nice day...lots of sun and mild temperatures...highs for most climbed into the mid 40s and snowbanks that are in the sun saw some melting.  Under clear skies, temps will fall back below freezing again tonight this will result in patches of black ice and plenty of frosty windshields.

Temperatures tomorrow should end up similar to today's highs but sunshine will fade behind clouds as a coldfront approaches from the west, there may even be a brief sprinkle.  The front will slide through Wednesday night and temps will be cooler but still above normal on Thursday...lower 40s.  Winds will be gusty however creating windchills in the 20s.

A weak storm coming out of the Southern US will provide a chance for a few hours of rain late on Friday and with the storm cut-off from stronger jetstream winds it will be slow to completely move out of here.  That means we will wake up to clouds on Saturday with developing sunshine and a Spring-like feel near 50 by the afternoon.  A pattern changing coldfront will be sweeping east and approaching by the end of the weekend but it should remain west of us until Monday.  Temps on Sunday should easily reach the 50s and with a little sunshine may even touch 60.  Obviously this means balmy conditions for the Pats / Texans game Sunday evening.

The front will trigger some rain showers on Monday as it moves into the region and temps will slowly decline through the middle of next week.
