Yarmouth Police Hold Gun Buyback On Saturday

YARMOUTH (CBS) - Yarmouth police were holding a gun buyback on Saturday.

Police reported that the first gun of the day, a semi-automatic pistol, was turned in at 8 a.m.

The person who turned it in told police that there was concern over what would happen if a particular family member suffering from drug addiction were to gain access to the gun.

Yarmouth police say the person who turned in the gun received gift certificates from Powderhorn Outfitters, Hanlon Store, and The Yarmouth House Restaurant, which are among the several local businesses offering incentives to anyone who does turn in a gun.
