BOSTON (CBS) – A New Hampshire auction house will put a previously unseen press photo of a teenaged Princess Diana up for bid.

The black and white image shows Diana smiling as she lies in the lap of a young man reading a book. The words “not to be published” were written on the photo.

The picture is dated February 26, 1981, two days after Buckingham Palace announced the royal engagement.

A London tabloid originally deemed the picture too hot to publish.

Before now, it’s likely the photo had never been seen by the public.

The auction will begin on January 17th, and runs through January 24th. The minimum starting bid is $200. More information is available at RR Auction.
