Gorman On Toucher & Rich: Has This Celtics Team Checked Out?

The Celtics host the Grizzlies Wednesday night at the Garden after a terrible West Coast road trip where they lost to the Clippers, Warriors and Kings all by double digits.

Celtics play-by-play announcer Mike Gorman joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich to discuss this struggling Celtics team and what can be done to get them going in the right direction.

At times it seems like the Celtics are not even invested in being on the court and seems like they aren't even trying. Is wrong to say that this team seems checked out?

"I think there are some guys who don't get it yet, who don't understand what they need to do, don't understand the defense, don't understand the intensity that they need to bring every single night. I don't think anybody is intentionally not trying, I think there's a ratchet or two that certain players' play needs to be ratcheted up. I think Kevin Garnett from what I can see from being around the team is on that pace right now."

Gorman pointed out that the C's don't have a problem scoring points, it's stopping the other team from scoring that is the issue and he believes that the return of Avery Bradley will help the team defensively. Bradley has spent seven months rehabbing his surgically repaired shoulders and is set to make his season debut Wednesday night against Memphis. Gorman also believes the return of Bradley will help other players out too.

"It also puts Jason Terry back in a much more familiar position coming off the bench as opposed to being a starter, which I don't think is what he does best."

Plus is there a move that could be made before the trade deadline to help this team get better? What would you be willing to give up?
