Rondo Questionable For Wednesday Night vs. Grizzlies

BOSTON (CBS) - The Celtics may be without point guard Rajon Rondo for the second time in their last three games when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

Head coach Doc Rivers announced Tuesday that Rondo is "questionable" for Wednesday night thanks to a lingering right hip/thigh issue.

Rondo did not practice on Tuesday, and said he suffering the injury last Thursday night when he was kneed by Clippers guard Matt Barnes. The injury caused him to sit out Saturday night's loss to the Warriors,  but he returned on Sunday night in Sacramento to score just two points while dishing out 10 assists in the Celtics' third straight loss.

Rondo said he doesn't think the injury is serious, and he hopes he can take the floor on Wednesday.

For the season, Rondo is averaging 13.1 points and a league-high 11.6 assists per game.
