Father And Son Charged With Stealing $50,000 From West Medford Little League

BOSTON (CBS) – A father and son from Stoneham are charged with stealing more than $50,000 from the West Medford Little League.

Seventy-eight-year-old Stanley Komis and his 45-year-old son Steven served as president and treasurer of the league for years.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office said Stanley Komins would write checks payable to himself from the organization’s account and that his son cashed checks from the league for his own personal use.

They will be arraigned January 4 in Somerville District Court.
