LACONIA, N.H. (AP) — A Laconia man has been charged with arson following a Christmas Eve house fire in the central New Hampshire city.
Laconia firefighters and police responded to the blaze Monday afternoon on Croft Way in the South Down Shores community along Paugus Bay. It became a second alarm fire before it was put out. No one was hurt from the fire.
Police say they took a man who lives in the home into custody after he confessed to starting the fire. Jordan Feaster has been charged with felony arson and was taken to Laconia Regional General Hospital for a mental evaluation.
The 22-year-old is due to be arraigned in February.
