Authorities outside the Air Canada cargo terminal at Logan Thursday afternoon.
BOSTON (CBS) – A building at Logan Airport was evacuated late Thursday morning because of a suspicious package.
The State Police Bomb Squad was called in to the Air Canada cargo building shortly after 11 a.m. to inspect and remove the small item.
There were no reports of any injuries.
In a tweet, Massport said State Police put the package under an X-ray and “determined there is no threat.”
The package was also screened for hazardous material and came back negative. Workers were then allowed to return to the building.
The cargo terminal is at the outer edge of the airport, far from the passenger terminals and runways.
